Cyber Run FAQ: free, ads, iPad and saving
Is Cyber Run free?
The five sectors of the city escape are free to try. Overclock, Daily practice and more runs after the escape are for members. A membership opens every Contenta game.
Are there ads or in-game purchases?
No. There are no ads and no real-money shop. Shards are collected in the game and spent in the Shard shop on colours and dash upgrades.
Does Cyber Run work on iPad, Android tablets and phones?
Yes. It runs in the web browser on iPad, Android tablets, phones and computers. Hold your phone or tablet sideways (landscape). Big touch buttons appear, and you can swipe too.
Can I play with a controller?
Yes. A normal gamepad works in runs and in all menus. A jumps, B slides, X dashes, LB and RB turn, and RT and LT sprint and slow down. See the controls for every button.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Cyber Run plays in your web browser. There is nothing to install.
How do I save my game?
The game saves by itself on this device, in this browser. Stars, shards, unlocks, settings and your last run are kept. Clearing your browser data removes them, and they do not move to another device.
What age is Cyber Run for?
It is made for kids from about 8 to 12, and for anyone who likes running games. The text is short and simple, and the controls are shown on the screen.
Is Cyber Run scary or violent?
No. There are no enemies, no fighting and no weapons. If you hit an obstacle, the camera drops, the run stops and the game says "Try a new way!". Nobody gets hurt. The city is dark and neon at night, but there is no flashing strobe light.
How long is Cyber Run?
Each sector takes about two minutes. The whole escape through five sectors takes about 8 to 10 minutes of running, plus retries. Getting all fifteen stars takes longer.
How do I get past a corner?
Turn just before the corner with Q / E, LB / RB or the turn buttons. Close to a corner, the lane controls turn too. Listen: two low taps mean left, three high taps mean right. More in the tips.
Which languages can I play in?
English, Swedish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. Change it under Language in Comfort.
Can I play with friends online?
No. There is no chat and there are no other players. You can race the ghost of your own last run.
