Controls

You can play with a keyboard or with a gamepad. A gamepad with the Xbox layout works. So does any controller your browser sees as a standard gamepad. The button pictures on screen follow the one you used last. So you can switch at any time. On a gamepad, RT and LT are the right and left triggers. RB and LB are the right and left bumpers. They all sit on the top edge of the controller.

The camera has three views: behind the truck, far behind and the cab. Each press shows the next one.

How the steering feels

Keyboard steering is gentle on purpose. Tap A or D for a small nudge. Hold the key and the wheel turns more and more. At motorway speed the keys turn the wheel less far, and more slowly. So small taps won't make the truck wobble. Let go and the wheel straightens by itself. The left stick gives you finer control. At speed it can also turn the wheel further than the keys.

Recovery work

When you park for a recovery, the game switches to the work view. It has its own camera. Your driving keys now do new jobs. Read Recovery step by step to learn each stage.

What you do Keyboard Gamepad
Bed or wheel-lift forks up Q D-pad up
Bed or wheel-lift forks down Z D-pad down
Winch in (pull the cable) Hold W RT (squeeze harder to pull faster)
Unroll the cable (let it run out) Hold S LT
Hook on: press at just the right moment E A
Tighten the straps or clamps Tap Space fast Tap X fast
Stop and pack up (only before the vehicle is lifted) Esc B

A panel on screen always shows the next button to press. It helps on roadside jobs too, like tyre changes and jump-starts.

Radio calls and chats

Base is the radio team that sends you to jobs. When Base calls, take the job with E, Y or Enter (A on the gamepad). To skip it, press N (B on the gamepad). When you chat with someone, pick an answer with the number keys or with A.

Move through the menus with the arrow keys or WASD. Enter or Space picks. Esc goes back. On a gamepad, move with the D-pad or the left stick, and hold to scroll. A picks and B goes back. Start takes you from the pause menu back into the game. In Settings, left and right change the sliders and options.

Settings and vibration

Settings has volume, graphics (low or high), language (English or Swedish), Show FPS and vibration strength. FPS is how many pictures the game draws each second. More is smoother. With vibration on, your gamepad rumbles. It rumbles when you crash, drive on gravel or snow, run the winch and get paid for a job. Set vibration to 0 to turn it off. Rumble needs a browser that supports it, like Chrome or Edge.
