Relay Rivals robots: all 12 crew cards

Relay Rivals has twelve robot cards. You take six of them into each battle. That group of six is your crew. Every card has the same combat power for every player: there are no upgrades to buy and no grinding. Winning depends on your plan, not on how long you have played.

All 12 cards

Card Cost What it does
Boltling pair 2 Two fast little scouts. Great for taking the relay.
Shield Cart 4 Slow and very tough. Protects fragile friends behind it.
Rivet Ranger 3 Shoots from far away. Can hit flying robots.
Broom Bot 3 Hits several robots that stand close together.
Anchor Pad 3 A small turret that stays put for 20 seconds. Can hit flyers. Cannot take the relay.
Pulse Net 2 Slows nearby rivals for 4 seconds. Deals no damage.
Spring Jumper 3 Leaps toward a rival every 5 seconds.
Drill Walker 5 Slow and tough. Does triple damage to turrets and cores.
Kite Drone 4 Flies over ground robots. Cannot take the relay.
Repair Beetle 3 Repairs one nearby friend by 35 health each second. Cannot fight.
Pop Rocket 4 Lands near your pad after a short warning and hits rivals there.
Decoy Beacon 2 Pulls nearby rivals toward it for 10 seconds. Fragile. Cannot fight.

The cost is how much charge the card needs. You get one charge each second and can hold ten.

Which robots stop flying robots?

Kite Drones fly above the battle, so most ground robots cannot touch them. These can: Rivet Ranger, Anchor Pad, Kite Drone, Pop Rocket and your base turret. Always keep at least one of them in your crew. Battle 5, Sky patrol, is the first battle with flying rivals.

Robots that help, not fight

Some cards do not attack at all. Pulse Net slows rivals. Repair Beetle heals your robots, but never cores, and two beetles on one friend do not heal it faster. Decoy Beacon draws rivals away from your other robots. Use these cards to help your fighters, not instead of them.

How to build a good crew

Open Build your crew. Pick a slot, then pick the card you want there. If you pick a card that is already in your crew, the two swap places. Not sure? Try one of the three Crew ideas: Balanced, Fast pressure or Heavy support.

A good crew usually has:

  • a tough robot in front, like a Shield Cart or Drill Walker;
  • a robot that shoots from far, like a Rivet Ranger;
  • an answer to groups, like a Broom Bot;
  • an answer to flying robots;
  • one or two cheap cards, so you always have something to send.

Cards in the free part

In the free part you use the first six cards: Boltling pair, Shield Cart, Rivet Ranger, Broom Bot, Anchor Pad and Pulse Net. Membership opens all twelve cards. Your saved crew stays on this device.

Paint and looks

Your crew can wear different colours, and your core can wear a decoration. Paint is only for fun: it never changes how strong your robots are. See Campaign and battles for how to unlock new looks.
