Timber Haul FAQ: free play, devices and saves
Is Timber Haul free?
Yes, you can try it for free. The first forest, Pine Heath, is free all the way to a paid delivery, and so is the Crane practice. Spruce Slope and Mire Edge are for members.
Are there ads in Timber Haul?
No. There are no ads, no chat and no shop for real money. The money in the game is play money that you earn by delivering timber.
What age is Timber Haul for?
It is made for kids of about 8 to 12 and the grown-ups who play with them. Older players who like machines and calm work games enjoy it too.
Is Timber Haul violent or scary?
No. It is a calm winter job in the forest. If a machine tips over or drops its load, it only costs time and repair money. Nobody gets hurt, and there are no weapons.
Does Timber Haul work on iPad, Android or a phone?
Yes. It runs in the browser on tablets and phones with big touch buttons. Hold the device sideways: the game asks you to turn it if you hold it upright. A bigger screen makes the crane work easier.
Can I play Timber Haul with a controller?
Yes. A controller works for driving, the crane and every menu. See Controls for every button.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Timber Haul plays in your web browser. There is nothing to install.
How do I save my game?
The game saves your work by itself as you play. The save stays in this browser on this device, so use the same browser to keep going.
How long is Timber Haul?
The three chapters are planned to take about one and a half to two hours in all. You can play in short shifts and pause whenever you like: menus and breaks stop the clock.
Which languages can I play in?
English, Swedish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Change the language in Play your way in the pause menu.
Why can't I get paid at the mill?
First park the truck on the weighbridge and choose Weigh / get paid. Then use your crane to move every weighed log onto the mill deck. After that, choose Weigh / get paid again to collect your pay.
How do I get a tipped machine back?
Open the Workshop and choose Recover machine. It brings the machine back to the landing for a fee. Then repair it before you go back to work. You can also use Restart this chapter from Pause.
