Poker Texas Hold'em: Two Cards guide
You get two cards. Only you can see them. Five more cards land in the middle, and they belong to everyone. Mix your two cards with the five in the middle. The best five cards win the chips!
What you play with
| What | How many |
|---|---|
| Your cards | 2, and only you can see them |
| Cards in the middle | 5, shared by everyone |
| Chips | 1,000 for each player at the start |
| Players | You and up to 5 computer players |
The chips are play chips. They stay in the game.
How a hand goes
- First bets. Before the cards come, two players must put in chips: 10 and 20. That way there is always something in the middle to win. The table shows "First bets 10 / 20". (Grown-ups call them the blinds.) The marker that says Deals this hand moves one seat each hand, so everyone takes a turn.
- Your two cards. Everyone gets two cards. Then each player gets a turn.
- Three cards in the middle. Another turn for everyone.
- The fourth card. Another turn.
- The fifth card. The last turn.
- Show the cards. Everyone who is still in shows their cards. The best five cards from your two plus the five in the middle win. A sentence names the winning hand, like "Leo wins. Pair of tens."
On your turn, you pick one button:
| Button | What it means |
|---|---|
| Fold | You sit out the rest of this hand. Chips you already put in stay in the middle. |
| Check | There is nothing to match, so you stay in for free. |
| Call | You put in as many chips as the last player, so you stay in. The button shows how many, like "Call 40". |
| Raise | You put in more chips. Now the others must match you, or fold. |
| All in | You put in all your chips at once. |
If everyone else folds, the last player takes the chips straight away, without showing any cards. Tap the winner sentence, or Next hand, to play on.
There is no clock. You can think as long as you like.

Ways to play
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Play | The home table. Everyone starts with 1,000 chips, and the first bets stay at 10 and 20. If someone runs out of chips, they sit back in with 1,000. Nobody has to leave. |
| Play until one stack | 6 players, 1,000 chips each. The first bets get bigger every 8 hands: 10/20, then 20/40, 40/80, 80/160, 150/300 and 300/600. After that, they double every 8 hands. A player with no chips is out. The last player with chips wins. |
| Pass the phone | Play with family or friends on one phone or tablet. When it is your turn, the screen says "Pass to" and your name. Your cards stay hidden until you tap I am with your name. |
The menu also has Which hand wins, Try a hand (pick up to seven cards and see the best five) and Your numbers (how many hands you played and won).
The free demo
The demo is free. You play Play with 4 seats: you, Mira, Leo and Signe. It lasts 15 hands. After that, you can play the demo again, or tap Join to keep playing.
A membership opens everything else: Play until one stack, Pass the phone, up to 6 seats, all six computer players, skill 3 to 5 and Your numbers.
Good to know
- You play for chips that stay in the game. You cannot buy chips, win money or play against people on the internet.
- The people at the table are made up. Nobody smokes, drinks or swears. Losing a hand only means the chips move.
- Your table is saved in this browser. Come back later and it is still there.
- On a phone or tablet, hold it sideways.
