Zombie Death FAQ: questions and answers
Is Zombie Death free?
Part of it is. The first three waves are free to try. From wave 4 you need a membership, and the membership opens the whole game.
Is Zombie Death scary or violent?
It is a shooting game, so yes, a little. You shoot zombies with a pistol at night, and crowds of zombies walk toward you and grab you. The zombies are made-up creatures, never people. When you hit them they spray green slime and fall over. There is no blood, no gore, nobody gets hurt for real and nobody swears. Some kids find the dark and the crowds spooky, so a grown-up may want to try the first waves first.
What age is Zombie Death for?
It is made for kids about 8 to 12 and the grown-ups who play with them. Younger kids, or kids who get scared easily, may find it too spooky. Easy mode and the Calm setting for moving effects make it gentler.
Are there ads or things to buy in the game?
No. There are no ads and nothing to buy inside the game. Everything you build is paid with scrap that you get in the game.
Does it work on iPad, Android tablets and phones?
Yes. Zombie Death runs in the web browser on phones and tablets, and you play with touch. Hold the device sideways. If you hold it upright, a card asks you to turn it.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. The game runs in your web browser on a computer, phone or tablet. There is nothing to install.
Can I play with a controller?
Yes. Use the left stick to walk, the right stick to aim and RT to shoot. Y opens build mode and Start pauses. All controls are on the page Controls.
How do I save my game?
The game saves by itself every few seconds and when you leave. In build mode there is also a Save and pause button. When you come back, you can pick Keep playing or New game. The save is kept in this browser on this device. When the zombies get you, the saved game is gone and you start again.
How do I win Zombie Death?
Stay alive for 10 waves. Build barricades, turrets and traps between waves, and keep your turrets full. If it is too hard, turn on Easy mode in the pause screen: then you get back up when the zombies get you. The page Tips has more help.
What happens after wave 10?
The rescue truck comes and you win! Then you can pick Keep playing to go on with harder and harder waves, or New game to start again.
How long does a game take?
A game to wave 10 takes about 15 to 25 minutes. The later waves are longer, because more zombies come.
Which languages can I play in?
English, Swedish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. You can change the language in the pause screen.
