Relay Rivals campaign: all 12 battles
The Relay Rivals campaign has twelve battles in three arenas. Open Campaign on the title card to see the map. Win a battle to open the next one. Before each battle you see the rival's cards and a crew tip, so you can change your crew first.
How to get three stars
Each battle gives up to three stars, so 36 in total:
- one star for winning;
- one star for keeping at least 75% of your core's health;
- one star for winning in under two minutes.
You keep your best stars. Losing or playing again never takes stars away.
The rival styles
Each rival plays in one of three styles:
- Signal keeper wants the relay and the forward pad.
- Lane sprinter rushes down the side lanes.
- Workshop warden saves charge and defends near home.
Rivals use the same charge and card rules as you.
Chapter 1: The Workshop (battles 1–4)
| Battle | Rival | Rival's cards |
|---|---|---|
| 1. First spark | Signal keeper | Boltling pair, Rivet Ranger |
| 2. Sweep the yard | Lane sprinter | Boltling pair, Broom Bot, Rivet Ranger |
| 3. Hold the line | Workshop warden | Shield Cart, Rivet Ranger, Anchor Pad, Broom Bot |
| 4. Spring forward | Lane sprinter | Spring Jumper, Shield Cart, Boltling pair, Rivet Ranger |
Battles 1 to 3 are free. Tips: In battle 2, a Broom Bot hits both Boltlings at once. In battle 3, defend your turret first, then build a push. In battle 4, a group can stop a Spring Jumper just after it lands.
Chapter 2: Copper Foundry (battles 5–8)
The side lanes are wider here.
| Battle | Rival | Rival's cards |
|---|---|---|
| 5. Sky patrol | Signal keeper | Kite Drone, Boltling pair, Rivet Ranger, Shield Cart, Anchor Pad |
| 6. Repair crew | Workshop warden | Shield Cart, Repair Beetle, Rivet Ranger, Boltling pair, Broom Bot |
| 7. Rocket warning | Workshop warden | Pop Rocket, Rivet Ranger, Broom Bot, Shield Cart |
| 8. False signal | Signal keeper | Decoy Beacon, Kite Drone, Rivet Ranger, Spring Jumper, Pop Rocket, Shield Cart |
Tips: In battle 5, bring Rangers or Anchor Pads for the flying drones. In battle 6, go for the Repair Beetles. In battle 7, an orange ring means a rocket is coming: send your next robots down another lane. In battle 8, Decoy Beacons break easily, so keep a Ranger ready for them.
Chapter 3: Sky Garden (battles 9–12)
The lanes are closer together here.
| Battle | Rival | Rival's cards |
|---|---|---|
| 9. Cloud crossing | Lane sprinter | Kite Drone, Rivet Ranger, Shield Cart, Repair Beetle, Pop Rocket, Anchor Pad |
| 10. Heavy weather | Lane sprinter | Drill Walker, Repair Beetle, Shield Cart, Rivet Ranger, Pop Rocket |
| 11. Signal storm | Signal keeper | Anchor Pad, Decoy Beacon, Broom Bot, Kite Drone, Repair Beetle, Rivet Ranger |
| 12. The last relay | Signal keeper | Shield Cart, Drill Walker, Rivet Ranger, Repair Beetle, Pop Rocket, Kite Drone |
Tips: In battle 10, Drill Walkers are slow but hit your turret hard: stop their escort first. In battle 11, try the side lanes when the middle is crowded. In battle 12, do not wait for full charge. Stop each rival robot as it comes, then send a Shield Cart with a Ranger right behind it.
Bonus goals and ribbons
Every battle has two bonus goals, like "Deploy at least four different cards" or "Win in under 1 minute 40 seconds". Win the battle and meet a goal to earn its ribbon. You can earn the two ribbons in different wins. There are 24 ribbons in all. Goals are optional: you never need them to go on.
