Terms of sale
These terms apply when you subscribe to Contenta Games at www.contenta-software.com/games. The games are provided by ContentaSoft AB (details above). The purchase itself is made with Stripe as the seller, see “Seller and payment” below. Questions about your subscription: bruno@contenta-software.com.
What you get
A subscription gives you access to every game in the Contenta Games portal, played in your web browser, for as long as the subscription is active. New games are added over time. We do not promise a particular number of games or features. A computer with a modern browser is needed; a keyboard or gamepad is recommended.
Free demos and free periods
Every game has a free demo that needs no account. From time to time we also make games or the whole portal free to play for a period; this is announced on the site and does not oblige us to extend it. Each game saves your progress in your browser; clearing the browser's data removes it.
Who can subscribe
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to subscribe.
Price and payment
There are two plans: monthly and yearly. The price is shown before you pay, in your local currency where Stripe offers it, and includes VAT. The subscription renews automatically every month or every year, depending on your plan, until you cancel; the renewal amount is charged on the renewal date. If a payment fails, Stripe tries again. Your access continues while payments are retried and ends if the payment cannot be collected.
Seller and payment
Your purchase is made through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe (through Link) is the seller and merchant of record: it charges you, collects and pays the VAT, sends you a receipt and handles refunds, disputes and payment support under its own terms, which are shown at checkout and on your receipt. ContentaSoft AB provides the games and your access to them. Because Stripe is the seller, your payment details go to Stripe and never to us.
Start and confirmation
Your access starts as soon as the payment has gone through. We email you a confirmation with these terms, your plan and the renewal date. Stripe sends you the receipt with the price and VAT.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, any right of withdrawal or cooling-off period for the purchase is handled by Stripe as the seller, in line with the consumer law that applies to you. Stripe’s terms at checkout and on your receipt say how to use it. This does not affect your other rights described below.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time under Manage billing in your account, or by deleting your account. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for (the month or the year), and you keep access until then. If you delete your account, the subscription ends immediately. Refunds are decided and paid by Stripe as the seller, under its terms and the law that applies to you. Time you have not used is not refunded unless those terms or the law say so. Write to us if you need help with a refund.
Changes
We may change the price or these terms with at least 30 days' notice by email, as far as Stripe’s terms allow. A change does not apply to you before the notice period has ended, and you can cancel before then. We may update, change or remove individual games; the subscription then continues for the games that remain.
Using the service
The subscription is for your own personal use. You may not share your account, resell access, or use technical means to get around the limits of a demo. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
If something does not work
We aim for the service to be available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. If a game or the portal does not work as described, tell us and we will fix it. You keep all rights that the law gives consumers for digital content and digital services, for example to have the fault put right, a price reduction or to end the contract. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses.
Complaints, disputes and law
Contact us first at bruno@contenta-software.com. If we cannot agree, you can take your complaint to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se) or ask for advice from the consumer authority of your country; in Sweden that is Hallå konsument. Swedish law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer in another country you also keep the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts there.
Languages
These terms exist in English and Swedish. If they differ, the Swedish version applies.
