Timber Haul chapters: forests, goals, medals
Your winter season in Timber Haul has three chapters, one for each forest. You play them in order. Each one starts with a briefing that tells you your goals. A goal has three parts: trees to cut, timber to bring to the road, and timber to deliver to a mill.
| Chapter | Trees to cut | To the road | To the mill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pine Heath | 8 | 3 m³ | 6 m³ |
| Spruce Slope | 10 | 4 m³ | 7 m³ |
| Mire Edge | 14 | 5 m³ | 8 m³ |
Chapter 1: Pine Heath
Pine Heath is your first forest, and it is free to play. Cut eight marked trees, bring 3 m³ to the road and deliver 6 m³. Some timber from earlier work is already at the landing, so you do not need to clear the forest. When the cutting is done, your forwarder gets a Bigger grapple.
Chapter 2: Spruce Slope
Spruce Slope has hills. Cut ten trees, bring 4 m³ to the road and deliver 7 m³. Take it slow: fit snow chains and carry smaller loads downhill. When the cutting is done, a forwarder driver joins your crew. The driver earns wages while working, and you can stop them at the workshop at any time.
Extra challenge: deliver 4 m³ of spruce sawlogs to River Sawmill.
Chapter 3: Mire Edge
Mire Edge is a soggy forest near the marsh. Cut fourteen trees, bring 5 m³ to the road and deliver 8 m³. The thaw is close: you start three work days before it. Finish the cutting and the forwarding before you collect the pay for your final load. When the cutting is done, your truck gets a Longer crane.
Extra challenge: deliver 6 m³ to North Rail Terminal before you finish.
Rewards you already own
If you already bought an upgrade that a chapter gives you, you get its price back. Your money and upgrades come with you to the next forest. Spare timber stays in the forest you leave.
Medals
Medals are extra goals. You can finish every chapter without them.
| Medal | How to earn it |
|---|---|
| Tidy loads | No messy stacks and no weight fines. |
| Careful driving | No tipping over, and only a little damage. |
| Forest care | Only a small part of the ground gets deep ruts. |
| On time | Finish before the deadline. |
| Special order | Finish the extra challenge. |
How the season ends
The final paid delivery in Mire Edge ends your season. Your Season report shows the trees, the timber, your pay and your working time. Then choose Continue freely to keep working in any forest, or Start a new season to begin again. The game asks before it replaces your season.
Restart a chapter
