Tips for new players
Turn on the tips
New to the game? Open Settings and switch on Tips for new players. During your first hand, short tips tell you what is going on: your two cards, your turn, the cards in the middle and who wins. Tap Got it to hide a tip, or No more tips when you know it all.
Let the game name your hand
With Name my hand switched on in Settings, the table tells you what your cards make right now, like "You have: Pair of tens". The cards that make it light up. It only names your hand. It does not tell you what to do.
Start with strong cards
Not every two cards are worth playing. These are good ones to start with:
- A pair, like K♠ K♥ or 9♦ 9♣.
- An ace with a high card, like A♥ K♣ or A♠ Q♠.
- Two high cards of the same suit, like K♦ Q♦.
With low cards that don't go together, like 7♠ 2♦, you can just fold before the middle cards come.
Watch what they do
Faces can fib. Signe and Sam can look pleased with nothing at all! What a player does tells you more than their face:
- Mira hardly ever tricks you. When Mira raises, the cards are often good.
- Leo stays in a lot, so Leo's cards are not always strong.
- Signe sometimes bets with nothing, but often folds when you bet big back.
- Edvin often folds when the bet gets big.
The list on the side shows the last moves, like "Leo raised to 60". Read it to see what happened.
Folding is fine
You don't have to play every hand. Good players fold a lot! When you fold, you only lose the chips you already put in. Then you can watch the others and learn how they play.

Take your time
There is no clock. Look at your cards, look at the middle and think. Then pick your button.
