Spider
Spider has ten piles and two decks of cards. Build a whole suit from king to ace, and the row flies away. Make eight of them to win.
The rules
- Put a card on one that is one higher. Any suit is fine.
- A group of cards only moves together if it is all the same suit, in order.
- When king down to ace of one suit sits in order on a pile, the whole row flies off the table.
- An empty pile can take any card.
- Tap the draw pile to deal one new card on every pile. You can't do that while a pile is empty. Fill it first.
- You win when 8 suits have flown off.
How many suits?
| Choice | How hard |
|---|---|
| 1 suit | All cards are spades. The easiest, and you can almost always win |
| 2 suits | Spades and hearts. A bit harder |
| 4 suits | All four suits. A real challenge |
Tips
- Build in one suit when you can. A same-suit run can move as one group. A mixed run gets stuck.
- Empty piles are gold. Use them to sort cards, not just to park one.
- Get ready before you deal. A new row covers every pile. Make your good moves first.
- Turn over hidden cards. The more cards you can see, the more choices you have.
