Make one highlight reel from several videos

New in AI Video Enhancer Studio 2026.7.24, October 25, 2026 • ContentaSoft Team

A trip comes home as a phone folder, a drone card and a pile of action-cam files. Remix used to take one video at a time. Now it takes all of them: add the files or the whole folder, and it cuts one short reel from the best moments of every video, in the order they were filmed. In the app and on the command line.

When you have more than one video

A trip on three cameras

Phone clips, drone flights and action-cam runs from the same week. The default order, As recorded, puts them back in the order they happened, whichever camera filmed them.

A wedding with several cameras

The ceremony on one camera, the speeches on another, the first dance on a phone. Share clips Equally and every camera gets its moment in the reel, even the one that filmed least.

A season of kids' matches

One file per match, one folder for the season. Share by Strongest moments and the matches with the most action get the most clips.

How the clips are shared between the videos

You set a target length and Remix turns it into a number of clips. Share clips by decides how many of them each video gets. As long as there are at least as many clips as videos, every video gets at least one.

Length of each video (default)

Longer videos get more clips. Ten clips from a 10-minute, a 5-minute and a 100-second video split 6, 3 and 1.

Equally

Every video gets the same number of clips, however long it is. Right for one moment from each day or each camera.

Strongest moments

Clips go to the videos where scene and sound detection score highest. A quiet video can end up with a single clip.

Choosing the order

Order sets how the clips follow each other. You choose it on the first step and can change it again on the Clips step.

As recorded (default)

Videos follow the recording time stored in each file, clips inside a video follow its timeline. Files without a recording time come last, in list order.

As listed

The order of the video list on the first step, which is the order you added them in.

Best moment first

The highest-scoring clip opens the reel, whichever video it comes from, and the others follow by score.

On the Clips step every clip shows the number and colour of the video it came from. Select a clip and use Move left or Move right to put it elsewhere. Re-suggest builds the clip list again from the current settings.

Step by step in the app

  1. Open Remix and drop several videos or a folder on the page. A folder brings in every supported video inside it, subfolders included. Add videos adds more later.
  2. Under Videos, untick Use in the reel for any video you want left out. Select a video to narrow its own analysis window with the two handles.
  3. Set the target length, then Share clips by and Order. Both appear once the list holds two or more videos.
  4. Click Next: Clips. Remix analyses the videos one after the other and suggests the clips. Change a clip's start and end, remove it or move it.
  5. Click Next: Preview to render the reel as one MP4. Open it, save a copy, or send it on with Enhance This Reel.

Videos from different cameras

Phones film upright, drones in 4K, action cams at 60 frames per second. Before joining the clips, Remix brings them to one format: the frame size most of the videos share (the others fit inside it with black bars), the highest frame rate in the set up to 60, and stereo sound. A video without sound gets silence for its clips, so picture and sound stay in step. For a vertical reel, set Aspect to 9:16: each clip is cropped to the centre first, so there are no bars.

From the command line

remix suggest and remix render take several files, or --folder for every video directly inside a folder (sorted by name, subfolders not included). --share duration|equal|score and --order recorded|listed|best work as in the app. In --clips, each range starts with the number of its video, counted from 0 in the order the inputs are given. remix suggest prints the render command with the clips filled in, and --json gives the plan to scripts and AI agents.

# Suggest about 60 seconds of clips from every video in a folder, an equal share each
aivideoenhancer remix suggest --folder D:\Videos\Trip --duration 60 --share equal

# Render three ranges from three videos into one MP4
aivideoenhancer remix render phone.mp4 drone.mp4 gopro.mp4 --clips "0:12-16,1:40-44.5,2:70-74" -o trip-reel.mp4

remix render stops the reel at 30 seconds unless you pass --max-duration. For a 60-second reel, add --max-duration 60.

Good to know

Remix finds the moments with ffmpeg scene and sound detection and runs on any Windows PC, without an NVIDIA graphics card. Only AI upscaling, if you send the reel to Enhance, needs an NVIDIA RTX GPU.

In the free trial, one reel counts as one free export, however many videos go into it. Reels are never watermarked.

Analysis covers up to 4 hours per video. For a longer recording, pick the part to analyse with the window handles.

Analysis time adds up with the number of videos. The status line shows which video Remix is reading.
