The Weekly Recording Storage Problem

Most churches record every service — sermons, worship sets, special events. The storage adds up quickly:

After a few years, your church has terabytes of recordings sitting on drives or external disks. Re-encoding to H.265 recovers 50-65% of that space.

Simple Three-Step Process

No technical expertise needed — any volunteer can do this:

Typical Savings

Real-world compression results from church service recordings:

Recording Type Original Compressed Savings
1-hour service (1080p) 4 GB 1.4 GB 65%
1-hour service (4K multi-cam) 12 GB 4 GB 67%
Full year (52 services, 1080p) 1 TB 350 GB 65%

Results using H.265, CRF 23 (Phone Archive preset). Actual savings depend on content and resolution.
