Wedding videographers produce hundreds of gigabytes per event. Re-encode your footage with visually lossless H.265 compression and save 30-40% disk space while preserving every detail.
Download Free TrialMulti-camera wedding setups with 4K recording produce enormous amounts of footage. A typical full-day wedding shoot generates 200-500 GB of raw video across ceremony, reception, and preparation coverage.
The challenge is that wedding footage is irreplaceable — you cannot afford to lose quality in compression. Standard aggressive compression settings that work for security cameras or phone videos are not appropriate here.
VideoRecompress Studio offers a dedicated Wedding Archive preset that uses visually lossless settings — the compressed video is indistinguishable from the original:
Real-world compression results from wedding footage:
| Content | Original | Compressed | Savings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full Ceremony | 85 GB | 55 GB | 35% |
| Reception | 120 GB | 78 GB | 35% |
| Highlights Reel | 15 GB | 9.5 GB | 37% |
Results using H.265, CRF 18 (Wedding Archive preset). Savings are lower than aggressive presets because quality is maximized.
Smaller files mean faster uploads and downloads when delivering to clients:
The Wedding Archive preset (H.265, CRF 18) is designed specifically for videographers who need maximum quality preservation. For delivered highlight reels where slightly smaller files are acceptable, the YouTube Raw preset (H.265, CRF 20) is also an excellent choice.
