Media libraries grow to 10-50 TB and NAS upgrades are expensive. Re-encode your library with H.265 or AV1 and reclaim 50-70% of your storage — for less than the cost of a single hard drive.
Download Free TrialYour Plex, Jellyfin or Emby library keeps growing, and NAS drives are not cheap:
Most media files use older codecs (H.264, MPEG-2) at unnecessarily high bitrates. Re-encoding to H.265 or AV1 delivers the same visual quality at half the file size or less.
Point it at your media folder and let it work:
Real-world results from re-encoding media libraries to H.265:
| Content Type | Original Size | Compressed | Savings |

| Movie (1080p Blu-ray rip) | 8 GB | 3 GB | 63% |
| TV Episode (1080p) | 2 GB | 700 MB | 65% |
| Home Video (4K) | 4 GB | 1.5 GB | 63% |
| Full Library (10 TB) | 10 TB | 3.5 TB | 65% |
Results using H.265, CRF 23 (Phone Archive preset). Savings vary by source codec and content.
