Real compression results from common home theater content:
| Content | Original | Compressed | Savings |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4K HDR movie (Blu-ray rip) | 40 GB | 15 GB | 63% |
| 1080p movie (remux) | 8 GB | 3 GB | 63% |
| TV episode (1080p) | 3 GB | 1.1 GB | 63% |
| 500-movie collection | 20 TB | 7.5 TB | 63% |
Results using H.265, CRF 20-23. Quality is visually indistinguishable on home theater displays.
